What I have enjoyed in 2J has been many thing. The first thing I have enjoyed is all the art knitting an sewing that we did I loved sewing and knitting plus art is my favourite thing to do. Another thing I have enjoyed I all the lovely things I have learnt. Now I know many things. My last reason and most important reason of all, is having a great teacher who is really kind, caring and fair. Mrs Jenkins would always help me and everyone else in the class in many ways.
By Evie
What I have enjoyed this year has been sewing. I've enjoyed knitting and want to learn crochet but sewing is my particular favourite. I'm always impatient to do sewing and whenever Mrs. Jenkins says that if we do our best we will do sewing, I try and do my best. I hope we do sewing next year. Another thing was art. Since my whole life I loved art. I would doodle if I had to and I loved colouring. If I colour something I always put my effort into it. I want to always impress my teacher in art. Something else I enjoyed was topic talks. When I started kindergarten and year one I read off a sheet of paper but in this class, you need a lot of confidence. I have all the confidence in topic talks and it's helpful because I would need to use palm cards or do it by heart. I really like topic talks because it also improves my confidence. The thing I enjoyed the most this year are the tests. Every class has tests but this class has challenging tests. We would have to look on the blog and some questions that are in tests. I want to improve my knowledge and this class is the right one.
By Amitya
What I have enjoyed in 2J this year has been sewing for Mothers' Day because I have made different kinds of patterns. Another thing I have enjoyed in 2J this was making the Fathers' Day apron because my dad told me he was impressed with the apron I made. He uses it every day for preparing food. Henceforth I've enjoyed doing tessellations. I have enjoyed 2J this year by doing glorious activities.
By Om
What I have enjoyed in 2j this year has been that Mrs Jenkins has taught so many things I did not know. In 2j we always do fun things like craft, sewing, colouring and s on. Another thing is that I have made honest wonderful friends and class mates. Thirdly I have always enjoyed year two and was looking forward to it. Lastly I am going to miss year two and Carlingford, since I am leaving.
By Caitlin
What I have enjoyed in 2J this year has been every single piece of work that I have done with my lovely teacher Mrs Jenkins. One thing I really liked was making Christmas decorations for my tree. Another I liked to do was challenging maths questions. It is so fun breaking it by step by step. there was one more thing that I liked and it was geography. I like geography because I learn interesting facts and thank you to my dear teacher Mrs Jenkins.
By Shreya

What I have enjoyed in 2j this year.
I have enjoyed knitting, sewing and English. Why knitting entertained me calmly. sewing taught me how to do better knots also faster knots. English made me have better handwriting. But the best thing loved was story writing not just because it gives me better handwriting it gave me better imagination.

Journal Topic this week. Ididn't know where to go...
I didn't know where to go because I was surrounded by bulldogs. They thought I was food so they tried to bite me. I thought they also didn't have an owner that meant that they were wild. I screamed with fear, then I fainted. When I woke up I realized that the bulldogs had an owner who was just buying some food for the bulldogs. I ran home and told Mum and Dad what had happened, then I jumped in bed. By Marcus
I didn't know where to go because I was lost. I was in a forest with wild animals. Just then a lion appeared right in front of my eyes. We glared eye to eye. Moments later I roared louder than a dinosaur. Henceforth a tree fell onto the lion and it groaned wearily. I ambled out of the forest and found my way home. I was exhausted when I arrived.
By Om
I didn't know where to go what path to take I was lost in the rainforest. I didn't know where my parents were or my family so I walked on a path however that didn't lead to my family. I walked on another path and that finally leaded to my family I was so happy.
by Caitlin
I didn't know where to go because I lost my way in the forest to the campsite. A while later I started left, then right. All I could see was trees everywhere. I glanced up. After that stared down. All I could see was the grass and the leaves. Later on, I saw a table full of food, so came closer to get a gaze at the food and, "Surprize!! happy birthday Charlie."
by Meldaan
I didn't know where to go so I hid under the covers of my bed. One hour later the kitchen light turned on and I heard the creaking of the floor. I saw a shadow from my bedroom. ''Could it be a ... no.''
'Is it dad? Help.''
I ran to my parent's bed room. ''Mum.'' but I heard no answer, so I ran to the kitchen and hid behind the bench. I heard a voice '' I know you're here kid ...
by Issie
I didn't know where to go because I was in mid air. I was lost in an enchanted rainforest. I tried to draw a world map but I couldn't .All of the animals were enchanted. a little puppy dog raced to me and shouted to me. Suddenly a flash of light took me home and I was very happy.
By Shreya
I didn't know where to go as the trees creaked. Listening to the snapping crocodiles and the howling wolves I shivered. I ran like lightning as my coat flew out of my hands. Suddenly I heard a very unsatisfying cry. Thereupon my head an object hovered continuously.

Journal writing in 2J: As the door slammed I knew... Please read and leave a comment.
As the door slamed I knew that the lights flickerd there after they turned of. Suddenly I heard loud footsteps. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't. I was frightened then I tried going back to sleep but I still couldn't. It was eventually my mother she whispered, 'The power just turned of.
By Selena
As the door slammed I knew that someone or something was lurching around the house. I turned one way then the other. As I turned I heard noises. I was super scared. At least I was just my cat and the floor creaking.
By Finn
As the door slammed I knew it was a spooky ghost I shrugged. The ghost was hunting
for me so I ran and ran I ran as fast as I could but it was still after me. Then it magically
disappeared. By Marcus
As the door slammed I knew water was coming from down the door. I opened the door and saw three pipes. It was spraying water everywhere. I turned off the three pipes. It stopped spraying water everywhere. By Kylie
As soon as the door slammed I knew something bad had happened. I swung the door opened but there wasn't a sound heard. Slower then a baby crawling, I tip-toed down the staircase silence.
It was morning and breakfast was ready so I ate. After eating my breakfast, I slowly walked to the bathroom to take a shower. Just before I started to walk, everybody surprised me.

I A time in my life when I was brave was four years ago. It was at the end of the year and I was going to a preschool for older children who are about five years old. If I was invisible I would hide and play tricks on my family and friends.

Week 2 Journal Writing: My Dream Vacation. Please read and leave a comment.
A
Dream Vacation
A dream vacation would be fun because you can dream of
going somewhere you really want to go like going to Uluru. My second reason is
you could dream of a place that is not even real. My final reason is I
sometimes think of a dream vacation I once thought of I was in England because
there are double decker buses and I really want to go on one.

Dream Vacation
If I could go on a dream vacation would travel to Spain
because I’ve always had a dream to go there. I chose Spain because I’ve looked
in a fiction book about Spain and it is very lovely. In Spain I would like to
learn the salsa. I could also learn how to speak Spanish.
By Evie
A dream vacation
My dream vacation would be going to Hawaii. It
would be my dream vacation because it’s so peaceful and quite. I would like to
sit in the sun and have lemonade and an umbrella above me. My favourite thing
to do in Hawaii would be going swimming. That is my dream vacation.

This term we are learning how to write persausive texts. Please read these wonderful examples by 2J students.
Should Children Have Mobile Phones?
I strongly believe that children
using mobile phones is a very bad idea.
Firstly children could learn bad
language. When children enter any texting app, they could sometimes see what
strangers say. The strangers could text swear words and children could learn
those swear words and say them to their friends.
Secondly mobile phones can cause eye
damage. This is because mobile phones have blue light that is more dangerous
than any other natural light.
Lastly children can copy the internet
and cheat in exams. If they keep this up they will never learn the answers to
the question nor will they improve their knowledge.
In conclusion I definitely believe
mobile phones should not be in the hands of children.
By Amitya
Should
Children Have Mobile Phones?
I
strongly believe that mobile phones should not be in the hands of children.
Firstly
a child could be black mailed e.g. a child could text a stranger who she or he
doesn’t know and the stranger could tell him or her to give the stranger money
or otherwise the person would do something really bad to the child’s family.
Secondly
the child could see inappropriate things on the internet, such as some movies
that have lots of violence.
Lastly
a child could cheat in class by putting the phone under the table and finding the
answers in a test.
To
conclude I am most definite in my belief that children should not bring mobile
phones to school.
By Kiara 2J
Should Children Have Mobile Phones?
I strongly believe
children should not use mobile phones without any guardian or adult.
Firstly children should
not have mobile because these can easily cause eye cancer in your brain and
eyes. It can be painful.
Secondly you can play
with phone numbers and accidently phone a random person. The person might even
call you to her or his home or to ask you your address and street name.
Lastly in Naplan or
tests you might use the internet to find the answer and this is cheating.
In conclusion children
should not be allowed to own mobile phones.
by Shreya
Should Children Have Mobile Phones?
Children having mobile phones is not a good option for
parents as they could do many bad things.
Firstly they may be black mailed and have to pay money or
hand over the phone.
Secondly in class when a child is doing a test or an exam
they could get full marks from copying answers from the internet.
Lastly they could use it too much and it could cause health
issues and eye damage.
In conclusion I strongly believe children should not have
mobile phones.

Week 9 Journal Writing : The outdoor learning day was...
The outdoor learning day was awesome because we got to do our work outside instead of in class. I measured the perimeter of a leaf. I loved outdoor learning day. We sat under the COLA to do our work.
By Om
The outdoor learning day was great fun, because we read a book, called Jacko. The book was fun. We finished the book and we started to write our story writing.
By PATRICK
The out door learning day was so much fun. We did lots of activities. First we did reading groups outside. then we did story writing. Some of our papers flew away but eventually we caught them. After story writing, we taught KT how to do the cat's whiskers. Each of us got a buddy. Some of us got two. I had one and she was very hard to teach. Then we taught them how to do elastics. after that KT left and we measured some leafs. we had partners to work with. first we traced the leaf on a piece of paper. Next we measured the leaf with string and measured the string with a ruler. we also learnt a new word called perimeter, which is the measurement around an object. It was so much fun. I hope we have, out door learning day next year.
by Amitya
The outdoor learning day was brilliant we sat out side and read out side . We became little teachers and taught he kindergarten games. We measured leaves .
I wish we could do this again. I really liked to watching the kindergarten children.
By Elsa
The out door learning day was super fun because I got to trace over leaves then use a string to go around it. One of my leaves was the whole string. Another activity was when I got a partner rom KT and taught him how to do cat's whiskers. The final reason is when I taught him how to do elastics he only made one mistake.

Outdoor learning day in 2J. Today we spent most of the day learning outside. We did reading groups with Mrs McCagffery. Later we invited KT to join in our games. 2J taught KT to play elastics and string games. We all enjoyed ourselves. Miss Tran demonstrated her skills in the elastics game.
We learnt about PERIMETER and the AREA today by finding the perimeter of different shapes of leaves.
