Group Webquest on Insects.

Webquest Group Project on Insects Year 2J

Task

In groups (5 students per group), you will become an expert about one insect. You will learn about
the insects habitat (where the insect lives).
what it needs to live (food, water, air).
how the insect gets its food, water, and air.
how does the insect move (fly, jump, walk).
  the insects role in nature.
I also want you to include at least 2 extra facts you found interesting.

Then, as a group, you will present the information above to show what you have learned. All of the students will present their findings to the class.

Process
Step 1: Choose an insect (ant, butterfly, bee, beetle, fly, ladybug, grasshopper, mosquito)
   Gather into groups of 5
Choose an insect that you would like to become an expert on (this is the insect that your group will research).
Step 2: Research the insect
What does the insect eat? How does the insect get its food?
   Where does the insect live?
What is the role of the insect in nature?
What does the insect look like?
How does the insect move around? (does it fly, walk, jump, etc.) Does the insect travel in groups?

Step 3: Make a group presentation about the insect
Now that you have become an expert about your chosen insect, create a colourful presentation that includes the insect's habitat, food, what it looks like, how the insect moves, and how the insect is helpful in  nature.

Step 4: Present your group's findings to the class.

Roles
Each team member will research different aspects of the insect and make notes using the websites given..
As a group you will each present the findings to the class on the computer using powerpoint or keynote on the iPad
